Roll-to-Roll Metal Mesh Powder Coating Line
Product Introduction
A roll-to-roll metal mesh powder coating line is designed for continuous coating of metal mesh supplied in coils or rolls.
Instead of handling individual mesh panels, the system feeds the mesh continuously through surface preparation, powder application and curing before rewinding or cutting the coated material.
This type of line is suitable for manufacturers producing long lengths of wire mesh, expanded metal mesh or other flexible metal mesh products in a continuous process.
The equipment configuration depends on the mesh material, strip width, wire diameter, roll weight, coating requirements and required line speed.
A typical system may include decoiling, straightening or tension control, pretreatment, drying, automatic powder spraying, powder recovery, curing, cooling and rewinding sections.
The actual process arrangement is selected according to the characteristics of the mesh and the required production method.
Product Advantages
Continuous Roll Processing
Metal mesh can be fed directly from a coil and processed continuously, reducing the need to load and unload individual mesh panels.
Controlled Material Tension
A suitable feeding and tension-control system helps maintain stable mesh movement through the coating sections. This is important because excessive tension or unstable feeding can affect the position of the mesh during spraying.
Suitable for Large Production Volumes
Continuous processing allows long lengths of mesh to pass through the coating system without frequent workpiece changes, making the configuration suitable for repetitive production.
Adjustable Powder Application
Automatic powder guns can be arranged according to the mesh width and structure. Gun positions and spray conditions can be adjusted to achieve suitable powder coverage on the required surfaces.
Integrated Powder Recovery
Overspray can be collected through a cyclone, cartridge filtration system or combined recovery configuration. The appropriate system depends on powder consumption, production volume and color-change requirements.
Flexible Line Configuration
The feeding, coating, curing and rewinding sections can be arranged according to the available workshop space and production process. Different equipment configurations can be considered for different mesh specifications.

Ordering Method
To evaluate a roll-to-roll metal mesh powder coating system, please provide:
• Mesh material
• Mesh width and length
• Wire diameter or material thickness
• Mesh opening and product structure
• Maximum roll diameter
• Maximum roll weight
• Required coating material and coating thickness
• Required line speed or daily production
• Powder colors and color-change frequency
• Available factory dimensions
• Product drawings, samples or clear photos
The feeding and rewinding requirements are particularly important for this type of line. Roll dimensions and weight determine the suitable decoiler, tension-control system and rewinding equipment, while mesh width and structure affect the powder spraying arrangement.
After reviewing these details, the pretreatment method, conveyor or feeding system, spray booth, recovery equipment, curing section and rewinding configuration can be developed around the actual production process.
Why Choose ZHYAO
ZHYAO has more than 30 years of experience in coating equipment manufacturing and provides customized coating systems for different metal products and production requirements.
For roll-to-roll metal mesh projects, the system can be designed around continuous feeding, material tension, powder application, curing and rewinding requirements rather than applying the same configuration to every mesh product.
The equipment can be developed according to the customer's product specifications, production target and factory conditions.
