Spray Painting Equipment
Industrial spray painting equipment is designed for applying liquid coatings to metal parts, steel structures, electrical cabinets, machinery components, profiles, frames and other industrial workpieces.
The equipment can be configured according to the coating material, workpiece dimensions, production volume and available factory space.
Rather than using a fixed configuration, the painting system is designed around the actual production process.
Depending on the application, it can include a spray booth, spray system, ventilation and filtration system, conveyor, drying or curing equipment, pretreatment equipment and electrical control system.
Customized Spray Painting Solutions
Different workpieces require different painting processes. Product size, surface condition, coating type, required finish, production capacity and factory layout all affect the equipment configuration.
ZHYAO develops a customized spray painting solution based on these requirements. The system can be designed as a manual, semi-automatic or automatic solution, from individual equipment to a complete painting production line.
For continuous production, automatic spray guns and a conveyor system can be integrated into the line. For products with varied dimensions or lower production volumes, manual or semi-automatic equipment may be more suitable.

Main Components of a Spray Painting System
Spray Booth
The spray booth provides a controlled area for paint application and helps contain overspray. Different booth structures and filtration methods can be selected according to the coating process and production requirements.
Spray System
The spray system may use manual or automatic spray guns. The selection depends on the coating material, workpiece shape, surface area and required production capacity.
Ventilation and Filtration System
The ventilation system removes paint mist and exhaust from the spraying area. Filtration equipment is selected according to the booth structure, coating material and applicable process requirements.
Conveyor System
For continuous production, an overhead conveyor or other suitable conveying system can be used to move workpieces through different process sections. Conveyor type and speed are determined according to workpiece dimensions, production capacity and process layout.
Drying and Curing Equipment
After spraying, some coatings require drying or curing under controlled conditions. Electric or gas heating systems can be configured according to the coating manufacturer's process requirements.
Pretreatment Equipment
Surface pretreatment may be required before painting to remove oil, rust, scale and other contaminants and to improve coating adhesion.
Depending on the workpiece and coating system, pretreatment can include chemical treatment, immersion treatment, shot blasting or other suitable methods.
Electrical Control System
The control system coordinates the operation of the main equipment and process sections. Depending on the automation level, PLC control, touch-screen operation, sensors and other control components can be integrated.
Typical Painting Process
Loading → Pretreatment → Drying → Spray Painting → Drying/Curing → Cooling → Unloading
The actual process varies according to the coating system and workpiece requirements.
Some applications may use shot blasting or other mechanical surface preparation instead of chemical pretreatment, while certain coatings may require additional flash-off, drying or curing stages.
